SERENDIB CRICKET

Winners of JGC 20/20 tournament for 2009 yet to be decided due to some poor organization of JGC.JGC 20/20 finals should have finished last year but postponed to 2010.Even after 2 months of new cricket season in 2010,JGC organizers could not finish the finals for 2009.Serendib CC already qualified for JGC 20/20 finals by defeating Indian Tigers last October.Still other semi final game yet to be played officially while Serendibs are waiting to play finals for long time now.

Yesterday Serendibs went the Edogawa grounds to play thier JGC finals after canceling it for several times by JGC committee.It was due to play on April 18th and shifted in to the May 30th but only to cancel it once again.This time all the teams were in the ground,but no neutral umpire was there to umpire the morning semi final game.But no one from JGC committee officially informed which team has the umpiring duties.Even if they informed it in the morning Serendibs could have sent their one of members to umpire the game.But no body including both teams selected to play semi finals did not inform Serendib CC even though they played a friendly game.It was huge waste of money and time for Serendib players since some of Serendib members came all the way from Syzouka to participate the finals.

This is not the first time that shows poor organization of JGC.We believe these type of poor organization caused most of other major cricket clubs to withdraw from JGC tournament even though it plays in convenient location like Koiwa.
